Do you remember when you first started to feel the pressure from the outer world trying to stop you from being your authentic self? I’ve seen how it begins for individuals. It often starts at a very young age, especially for those surrounded by unhealed, wounded, and traumatized people. Unfortunately, the world is full of such individuals, which is why things seem to be at their worst today. Human behavior tends to amplify what it receives—more negativity begets even more negativity in the world around us.
Nowadays, I see many children (neighbors, relatives, nephews, nieces) growing up, and I notice signs of hate and toxicity in their behavior. These negative traits are not trivial but deeply ingrained. I wonder how these children are placed in environments where they have no choice but to shrink. These limitations are passed down from their elders, who themselves grew up with similar constraints, perpetuating an unbroken chain of trauma and limited mindsets. Instead of nurturing the amazing potential in these children, we continue to pass on our traumas.
My concern is for every individual trapped in this chain without finding a breakthrough. I recognize this pattern from my own experience. As a child surrounded by wounded people, I too got wounded. These wounds started small but grew as I did, making life darker and more challenging without knowing how to break through.
By God’s blessings, I found a breakthrough through healing, self-love, understanding, and choosing my dreams. This path of self-development and self-choice led to an expansive, limitless human behavior. What the unhealed world sees as selfishness is actually a necessary step towards true selflessness—serving the world with love and amazement.
To create more individuals like this, it starts with one person choosing to break the chain—you. If you’re reading this, it means you have the power to choose yourself and stand out in your individuality. Recognize how not choosing yourself and living within unserving limitations increases negativity in you, making you an unwitting spreader of it. By taking on this pressure and not choosing yourself, you become what you don’t want to be.
Choosing yourself is not just for your benefit but serves the world for the better.
